WICHITA FALLS FAITH MISSION
Welcome to The Wichita Falls Faith Mission's website. Our purpose is to provide a life-changing ministry in which men and women are encouraged to pursue a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and other believers in a Christ-centered church of their choice. The Mission encourages and helps build or rebuild a strong work ethic by coordinating and providing skill training. This service assists the individual in transiting back into society as a responsible community member.
Our Mission:
Faith Mission ministers to clients by providing for immediate physical, spiritual, social, emotional and educational needs through ministries of charity — regardless of any individual’s race, creed, national origin, sexual orientation or religion. This focused Christ-centered ministry assesses individual needs, receives clients into Mission ministries, and determines their personal areas of capability from which to nurture their growth process.

Our History
Established in 1958 by Bea and Dick Hogan as Faith City Mission. The original location was on Ohio street above the old Hornsby Hardware Store. In 1968 the former Lamar Baptist Church building at 402 Lamar was purchased for the Mission's first permanent home. As programs and services grew, it became evident a larger facility was needed and property was purchased at our current location on Travis and construction began, however a fire destroyed the Lamar street facility just three weeks prior to the new building being completed. In 1974 Pete and Sharon Smith became directors and in 1981the name was changed to the Wichita Falls Faith Mission. Acceptance of clients in our new home began on May 23, 1988. We have also expanded, opening our "Thrift Shoppe" at 1628 Harrison St. in Wichita Falls, after several months of renovation to the historic building we purchased eariler in 2008.
